Tata Motors’ Nano, the world’s cheapest car, is poised for another milestone. The company is likely to book a whopping 10 lakh cars in
the first fortnight starting March 23, company sources said.

ANTICIPATING A major rush for its small car Nano, which is being launched on March 23, Tata Motors has ensured that the car can be booked at multiple points. A customer can book the car at any Tata dealership, any Croma outlet, any Westside outlet and the booking can even be made online.

To book the car, the customer will have to fill a Rs 300 application form and deposit an amount equal to 70 to 80 per cent of car’s price as booking amount. The form can be deposited at any SBI branch or the place, where it was bought and the payment can be made through a draft or cheque.

Reliance Petroleum (RPL) has announced that the company will call a meeting of the equity shareholders, secured creditors (class 1) (class 2) and unsecured creditors for the purpose considering and approving with or without modification(s) the Scheme of Amalgamation of Reliance Petroleum with Reliance Industries (RIL) of the company as per the order made on March 05, 2009 by High Court of Gujarat at Ahmedabad.
