I don't like the singers of sa re ga ma pa this time... I think contestants of Indian Idol are much better... I like Meing Chang, the chinese guy and Amit Paul in guys... In gals I like Pooja and Dipali...

As far as Amul Star Voice is concerned... its still in the selection phase but I liked the singers better than both the previous programmes... One gal to look out for is Sanchari... She has previously won sa re ga ma pa kids round and is too good...

As far as judges' bickering is concerned... we all know its all fake and someone should tell the producers to find other means of raising their TRPs... perhaps they should try bringing in better singers p

Indian Idol 3 is not that great. But not bad Either. This time They have got better singers than last time. My favourite singers in Indian Idol are Abhishek Kumar ( voice of Sonu Nigam ), Emon Chaterjee ( Voice of Sonu Nigam )Meiyang Chang & Prashant Tamang ( Voice of Kumar Shanu / Kishor Kumar ).

Star Voice Of India - Saw the very very 1st Episode & I was isappointed. Of course they have got Good Voices & Good Judges team , Good Anchor like Shan , but I m not impressed that much. However I think that things will be better once final round starts in Mumbai. I believe that STAR Plus people doing one big mistake by airing the show at same time with SAREGAMAPA. can any one tell me the time & day of repeat telecast of this show ?

I just Love this show. When I read in the newspaper that Gajendra Singh is leaving SA RE GA MA PA for Star Voice of India , was in dielama ki will Saregamapa be able to maintain its charm ? I think Charm barkarar hai.
I m just loving this show. My favourite singers from Sa Re Ga Ma Pa are
Mauli Dave of Bappida's Josh Gharana , Zunaid & Apurv of Hit Gharana of Vishal-Sekhar , Mussarat Abbas of Rock Gharana of Himesh Reshamiya , Amanat ali & Punam Yadav of Yalgar Gharana of Ismail Darbar.

In Saregamapa Challenge 2005, seventeen years old fellow Sharib Sabri rocked from Jatin Lalit's Dum Gharana (jatin lalit were working together at that time)...He made it into Agni Pariksha (Finals) and was in the last 10 contestants........

His Brother Toshi.............not lacking any behind........................sung Piya re Piya re.............Of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan in Star Voice of India......and he really was simply superb........

Jatin was so much impressed that he took Toshi in his palms and danced.......

If Starplus Has got Shareeb's Brother then Indian Idol has got Harshida , sister of Paresh Madhaparia from London. Paresh was participant of Saregama Challenge 2005. Btw she is out now.

Toshi is an appealing singer. Would love to watch Star Voice of India for him & some other good voices. Imran is also there in Star Voice of India this time. He was one of the finalist of SAREGAMA challenge.

Can some one tell me about repeat telecast of Star Voice of India ?

Vishal Shekhar is my favourite Gharana in Saregamapa challenge 2007

and yesterday was their own round and both of them really rocked....some of the wonderful compositions which we even did not know were sung by the candidates which were composed by Vishal Shekhar...............Allah ke bande hasde..................was Fantastic...Vishal Shekhar Started with it and Raja Hasan Their own contestant finished with it in his own style.............

some of wonderful compositions like tu hai aasma pe, saki saki re, tinka tinka , mussu mussu hasi, were sung by contestants and all of them really made Vishal and Shekhar Jump on their seats........................At the end it was double HIT for Rock Gharana as both Joy and Nirupama made direct Entry in Agni pariksha round..................

I watched repeat telecast of Saregama. This Guy Amanat Ali is simply rocking. Vishal Rightly said that it was the best singing performance so far by any singer on SAREGAMA 2007 Mahayuddh.

I really appreciate Vishal-Shekhar for giving chances to 6 contestants of Saregamapa for their Next Movie.

Star Voice of India has also got some good singers. Will love to watch the repeat telecast.

Now "Filmy TV" has come out with Musical reality show like "Bathroom Singer".

I think this is the same fellow who was one of challenger in Saregamapa Challenge 2005

Song Teri Deewani is one of the most popular songs of Kailash Kher. And song was recently attempted by 2 contestants in different competition.

First would like to Mention Raja Hasan of Saregamapa Challenge 2007
Ever since this fellow has made entry in Challenge 2007 he just has been rocking.. All his performances are top class..
His Attempt to sing Teri Deewani was also good one. But honestly speaking he was trying too much in that song. He tried his own variations and alaps, at the end i feel that he could have performed this song much better.

because of timings of both programmes i really do not watch amul star voice of India..but i got chance to watch repeat telecast of VOI when is was in Surat...Legendary Gazal Singer Jagjit Sing was guest judge on that day....and Toshi sung Teri Deewani....and boy what to comment on...............................everybody was on the edge of their seats when toshi was giving his performance..... Sur, tal , lay, alaap everything was just so perfect.....He also tried his own variations in the song and he was simply superb. specially the alaps he took at the end of the song were his original ones and was just amazing....

at the end of the song Guest Judge Legendary Gazal Singer Jagjit Singh gave him the complement that he has sung the song better than the original singer.................WOW ..WHAT A BIG COMMENT FOR TOSHI................FROM NON OTHER THAN JAGJIT SINGH................when legendary singers like him say something it really means.....Toshi was just outstanding.....he is star voice of india undoubtly....................guys also keep voting for Mirande Shah of Ahmedabad

Why i call it disaster:

One of the most talented singers of Star Voice of India got eliminated...Singer Name: Toshi Sabri from Jaipur Rajasthan

what wrong he did...nothing...got compliments from all mentors and guest judges...but eversince the competition has gone into the hands of public....the voting is done foolishly...

This is absolute disaster for Star Voice of India..because the voice who deserved to be Star voice of India got eliminated so early from the competition......i really hate this public voting round both in saregamapa and voi

in saregamapa mauli is still in at the cost of some deserving candidates like harpreet and junaid

This has not happened 1st time. & I m not surprised at all at Toshi's exit from Star voice of India. Same happened with His brother Sharib in Saregama challenge last year. Same happened with other good participants like Himani , Abhrokanthi , Rahul sharma & many others. I hope Raja & Punam wont be eliminated this way & reach the final of saregama 2007.

There are loads of such examples.

Vinit had to lose to Debojit.[Saregamapa]

Amit Sana had to leave because of Abhijeet Sawant.[Indian Idol -1]

Similarly in Indian Idol - 3 , Dipali and Ankita had to lose because of illogical public voting system.

Even Arshpreet was better than Abhilasha in SVOI.

And many others also had to face it.

I guess public voting should be allowed but only in the last 3 participants,So that the truly deserving participants only win.[Or any similar kind of a system so that noone has to face any injustice and the best participant can win.].

Firstly, Let me talk about Harpreet Deol who got eliminated last week in Saregamapa C, 2005

do not want to repeat what public voting can do to a good singer.

Harpreet Deol sang the Song of Sukhwinder Nasha hi Nasha Hai,.....he always has sung well in the competition and was getting better and better with all his performences......and boy what a song Nasha hi Nasha Hai of Sukhwinder. Sukhhu is one of my favourite singers.....

firstly talking about Hungama Ho gaya song: i think this song is commonly selected by female contestants... i remember very clearly last time Twinkle Bajpayee in Saregamapa Challenge 2005 sang this song..in Challenge 2007 Poonam Yadav has sung this song in prelimnary rounds and few weeks back Mirande Shah in Star Voice of India sang Hungama ho gaya....

Mirande's voice flow was quite superb. Energy Level Fantastic.... Sur was very good.....But i think comparing to the performances on this song by Twinkle, Poonam and Mirande i think Twinkle Bajpayee in Challenge 2005 sang this song the best....

Mirande Shah's another performence of Nikal Chali be of the film Soch
she was just superb again.

After Toshi's departure in VOI not much interest left for me... i like 3 other voices , Harshit, Mirande and Abhaas... and Irfan of course who was also participant of Challenge 2005.....

I think whole of Ahmedabad should stand in support of Mirande Shah.....because regional voting does play a part.....

so now in super 6 there are Mussarat, Amanat, Poonam, Sumedha, Raja and Aneek Left.....all of them are my favourites....

The competition is reaching its climax stages.... It would be interesting to see who goes out from now onwards....

Good news in Star Voice of India is there is demand to Bring back Toshi who got eliminated last week and was Disaster for VOI....now there would be voting for Toshi, Priyani (Who got eliminated this week) and 3rd one I dont remember the name of that contestant right now....and out of these 3 person having highest votes would be given wild card Entry..............

So Genuine Request to all is Vote for Toshi Sabri... He really really really is an extra ordinary talent

Indian Idol 3 didn't attract me that much this time. So have not watched mroe than 3-4 episodes.
Dont know who is going to win.

Saregama has bee n my favourite show & dont miss a single episode. Mauli dave's exit was not expected. I think Sumedha had to go that time. Still I feel that Mauli dave is no way better than Other participants like Amanatali , Poonam yadav , Raja hasan. I would like to see these 3 people (Amanatali , Poonam yadav , Raja hasan) as finalists in Saregama challenge 2007.

Star voice India has got good talent. Mirande shah of Ahmedabad , Aabhash , Harshit are good conteststants. Toshi's exit was really a disaster. But he is clear winner for me. He gonna rock in bollywood.

Eliminations of this week in Saregamapa and in Star Voice of India

Firstly Talking about SVOI: bad news is that MIRANDE SHAH of ahmedabad is out.......................I had mentioned in my earlier posts also that regional voting does play part in this type of shows...Mirande did not get enough of votes from Ahmedabad and got eliminated. Other Contestants who were in Chakravat were Abhas, Abhilasha and Irfan....

When No.1 contestant for the Week Harshit sang the song of Jatin-Lalit of the film Jo Jeeta wohi Sikandar, Ruth kar humse kabhi jab chale jaoge tum (originally sung by Jatin also) it created emotional atmosphere on the Stage.................Jatin-Lalit hugged each other in front of all................Big fans like me of Jatin Lalit can hope only that they will produce music in films together once again.

Now Biggest Drama in Saregamapa:

the person got eliminated was Mussarat Abbas: no doubt he was outstanding singer. no doubt about it..............But what his mentor Himesh Reshamiya did...................he blamed another contestant Raja Hasan of Vishal Shekhar Gharana for elimination of Mussarat and made him feel guilty. Himesh has no right to blame others for this.......At least should not have made other contestants guilty...............Reshmiya always creates drama on the stage and hypes his contestants. To hype Aneek he has started to talk about his personal Love Stories which has no connection at all with this show...............

and specially Aneek does not need this type of hype... Uff this Reshmiya.......Now Final 5 Left in Saregamapa.......all are my favourites Raja, Poonam, Sumedha, Amanat and Aneek.................who would be in top 3 ..........Let us wait for that

One of the most deserving participants of "Amul Star Voice of India"-Abhaas has been eliminated in the episode of 21st September 2007.
In the show,Abhaas has been the most consistent participants.

Priyani was the best among the female voice;Still she was eliminated before the other "not-so-good" female voices.

And finally,they had to introduce a wild card entry.

Inspite of other participants like Ishmeet not being so deserving and competent in comparison to Abhaas and Harshit,Ishmeet has been voted and is still in the competition.

Irfan also sings really well,But still he has been getting less votes.

There's a lot of inconsistency in public voting.

Quite a few years back,the very talented singers like Shreya Ghoshal and Sunidhi Chauhan have been selected through the talent show "Sa re ga ma" hosted by Sonu Nigam(A yet another very deserving singers.)
Thankfully,at that time there was no such system of public voting.I guess that programme should come back.(The ERA with no public voting system.).

Absolutely Agreed with Disha above.............. Good contestants are not getting enough votes

Abhaas certainly was one of the best of SVOI... as i mentioned Toshi's elimination was disaster..then Priyani and Mirande of Ahmedabad....

Question for me is when wild card entry will get introduced..

As disha mentioned earlier Irfan is also one of strongest contestants but getting very less votes...No doubt irfan is great singer but he has participated in so many competitions earlier..He was part of Saregamapa Challenge 2005 then he participated with Sinchan in Saregamapa Ek main aur ek tu and now in SVOI...no wonder if he sings well....

Now talking about Saregamapa Challenge 2007

Raja Hasan topped in votes this week...this fellow is really deserving singer....there are top 4 left now and only one more elimination now...Because Grand Finale would be between 3 contestants...its Raja, Amanat Aneek and Poonam in TOP 4

the one who got eliminated was................ Chattisgadh Barbie doll Sumedha Karmahe................ Not only looks cute but also is very very very very good singer......her elimination was unexpected for me...because expected that somebody from Darbar gharana would go out....anyways..all in TOP 5 are very good and professional singers....I hope Raja would rock again next week...

In SVOI i am waiting for Toshi to come back....this competition is nothing without singers like him..

Yes, finally there were Wild Card Entries in Amul Star Voice of India, and out of 7 eliminated singers two were supposed to come back through public voting....

As per expectations of all Music Lovers. Toshi Sabri.............got back in.. and he deserve to be.... I had written a column earlier on this forum stating Toshi's elimination as disaster to star voice of India... But Now he is back and he will rock undoubtly.

There was little discuss for the other contestant who was supposed to come back... Priyani Wani was behind Abhaas of MP by just 16 votes and all the judges and opined that both of them should stay in the show...and really priyani too deserve to be there...

Mumbai chi Mulagi Sumitra failed to be in top 3 in public voting...

but yeah now we have 7contestants again in star voice of india including 3 wild card entries...

Toshi, Abhilasha, Ishmit, Irfan, Harshit, Priyani and Abhaas..........

all 3 are winners for me... I had strongly backed up Vishal Shekhar gharana in the past and hence i continue with it. I am strong supporter of Raja hasan and i pray that he win Saregamapa challenge 2007.

Tonight I think Amanat Ali is going to sing Tuzse Naraj nahi zindagi hairan hoo main from Masoom...... He is really fantastic singer.

Well all these contestants who win a prize money and start their venture in this industry...where do they go after few months?Not to be seen at all except for some shows again...do they get to become playback singers actually?
