Reliance Petroleum (RPL) has announced that the company will call a meeting of the equity shareholders, secured creditors (class 1) (class 2) and unsecured creditors for the purpose considering and approving with or without modification(s) the Scheme of Amalgamation of Reliance Petroleum with Reliance Industries (RIL) of the company as per the order made on March 05, 2009 by High Court of Gujarat at Ahmedabad.

AHMEDABAD: Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GCET) for admissions to Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and Masters of Computer Application (MCA) will be conducted online from this year.

Entrance tests which will now be conducted by the newly-formed Gujarat Technical University (GTU) will be held online for the first time. To facilitate this, two centres will be opened in each district with 50-odd computers where students can give their test online

Distribution of admission forms for Gujarat University-recognised 18 Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor of
Computer Application (BCA) courses at various colleges will start from May 29. The last date of forms submission is June 3.

After having set up many reputed colleges and schools in Ahmedabad, the city’s leading industrialists have come together to gift the city one more institute of learning – Ahmedabad University.

The lead this time is taken by Sanjay S Lalbhai of Lalbhai Group, Sudhir Mehta of Torrent Group, Shrenik Kasturbhai and Naishad Parikh, all governing members of the Ahmedabad Education Society (AES). Students of IIT, Gandhinagar, are all set to introduce the trend of organising annual cultural festival in their campus. The pioneer batch of 90 students will start off with their first annual culfest, 'Blithcron 2009', on their temporary campus at Vishwakarma Government College in Chandkheda from Saturday.
